The Presidio San Agustín del Tucson has stood on this block since 1775, and today it is a working museum with a courtyard, a breezeway and an open plaza behind its adobe walls. Brandylion, the tea house and brandy bar on the corner, hosts the private events held there. Take one patio for an afternoon or the whole block for a night, bring the food you want and the people you love, and we will pour the rest.
The two intimate spaces, and where most gatherings land. Sun-warmed adobe, string lights overhead, tables set out under an open sky as the evening comes down. The Territorial Patio seats forty and holds a hundred standing, and the Breezeway alongside it seats forty as well and holds sixty standing, more sheltered and closer in. Either one is $200 an hour, two hours at least. A private bar of your own, and the bartender who runs it, is $250 for the booking.
Between the two sits the Zaguán, the small covered passage that joins them. We curtain it off as a private VIP area for a dozen or so when a party wants one, on a four-bottle minimum: wine, cognac, whatever your table is drinking, brought out and left with you.
The Museum welcomes its visitors until four o'clock, so evening events begin after that and can run until one in the morning. Mondays the Museum is closed to the public, which makes a Monday the one day the grounds are yours from morning on.

The old plaza inside the Presidio walls is open to the sky and takes a real crowd: two hundred seated, three hundred for a reception, four hundred standing shoulder to shoulder with a band at one end. A company holiday party, a milestone birthday with the whole family, a fundraiser that needs to feel like an occasion. $300 an hour, two hours at least. A private bar of your own, and the bartender who runs it, is $250 for the booking.
If you are a non-profit, ask. We keep non-profit rates and a sliding scale for the organisations doing good work in this city, because a venue like this should not be out of reach of the people who need it most.

Inside the bar there is a room you can draw the curtains on, and it is the one space here that does not wait for four o'clock. A bridal shower over a proper pot of tea on a Saturday afternoon, a book club, a small team lunch. Then the other end of the day: a birthday for twenty with cocktails coming through the curtain, a flight of cognac carried to the table by the server who is yours for the night. Tea in the afternoon and brandy after dark is the whole idea of this place, and this is the room where you get both to yourself. $250 for four hours with a server of your own, or $100 an hour without one. Ask for the server when you book, as we arrange it in advance. No bar fee here either: everything comes from the house bar.

The food is entirely yours. Bring the caterer you love, the taco cart you have been thinking about, or take the preferred rates at Jojo's and El Charro a few steps away. There is no kitchen here, so caterers work from an outdoor staging area with power and water and pack out what they pack in.
The beverage service is ours. Everything poured in this venue comes through our license, ordered in advance with you, with no outside bottles at all. Fifty teas by the pot, brandies from every hemisphere, cocktails built by people who care about them, wine and beer. Run a tab, let guests buy their own, or take one predictable number per head.
Talk MenusWe would rather you knew before you drove downtown. Here are the numbers, all of them. Out on the grounds you are billed by the hour, two hours at least, and a private bar with its own bartender is $250 on top, once per booking however long you stay.

Fifteen seated, twenty standing. Indoors at Brandylion, available any hour we are open. The server comes with the room, arranged in advance, so ask when you book. Drinks come from the house bar rather than a bar of your own, so the $250 bar fee does not apply here. Without a server it is $100 an hour instead.
The whole bar, doors closed to everyone but you. No rental fee and no bar fee: the bar is already yours, and you simply spend it there. Sunday through Thursday $1,000, Friday $2,500, Saturday $3,000.
Every patio, the plaza and all of Brandylion, the historic block yours alone. All three grounds spaces at $490 an hour, thirty per cent off taking them one by one, plus the $250 private bar out on the grounds and that night's bar minimum inside. A daytime block, with the Museum closed to visitors, is quoted with the Museum.
Seven short rules. There is nothing else, and nothing that appears later.
Everything else is yours to choose: any caterer, any planner, florist, photographer or DJ, with no preferred-vendor list and no minimum spend on anything but a buyout. A vendor gate lets trucks drive straight in. Guests of every age are welcome in the space you book. Planning a wedding or a reception? A birthday for fifteen in the private room, three hours, guests buying their own drinks: $250, and nothing else to add. A shower for forty on the Territorial Patio, four hours, with a private bar and a tab behind it: $1,050 plus what everyone drinks. All of Brandylion to yourselves on a Saturday night: $3,000, every dollar of it simply the bar tab you were going to run anyway.

You are gathering inside the adobe walls of the Presidio San Agustín del Tucson, founded in 1775 and today a working museum of the city's history. If you like, that history can join the evening. Small, warm, unrepeatable touches no ballroom can offer.
A real portrait studio set up live inside your event: a clean backdrop, studio lighting, and a photographer directing every guest through a quick editorial portrait. Everyone walks away with their picture, and you leave with a gallery of every face that came, prints the same night.
A Presidio docent mingles through the first hour, answering questions and telling the stories behind the walls your guests are standing inside. Living history as your entertainment.
